Why Guinea
Guinea has been and remains Cécile’s favorite. After (very) many years traveling around Africa, she chose to settle there and create an authentic travel agency, Indigo In order to promote tourism in Guinea
An authentic and endearing country, where safety is not an empty word, where we never get tired, where there is always a new adventure, a new hike and encounters to share, while respecting the environment and the lives of the populations. This is also called ecotourism.
It’s true, Guinea is magical, it is captivating … because of its landscapes of course, its waterfalls, the Fouta Djalon and the Sacred Forests, so different from other countries in French-speaking West Africa. But especially because of its inhabitants, welcoming, funny, warm with a custom of hospitality that does not fade, despite the difficulties of life!
Coming to Guinea means giving hope, providing work and livelihood to hundreds of people, directly and indirectly.
“When I arrived in Guinea 15 years ago, I was told laughingly : » be careful, Cécile, Guinea, if you stay there for more than a year, you will stay there for the rest of your life! Guinea is captivating, you will see!”
Here you will find some of the itineraries that we offer, they are not the only ones and we love to build YOUR trip, in harmony with what suits you.

Tribute to Bassiaka
The first time I went to the Guiafare massif, with a friend who was hunting in it, in each village, my teammates asked me « well, is this good, should we stop there? » and I said « no, we have to continue, it’s not here ». I didn’t know what I was looking for but it wasn’t here. So we continued until what seemed to be the end of the trail. A first hamlet, a stream then a second hamlet, and there, I said it’s here.
Bassiaka opened his arms to me, I felt like I had arrived home.
Bassiaka was already an old man, a healer who tirelessly traveled miles to heal. He was also the chief of the two villages, respected and loved, a wise man for the entire population.
His smile, his kindness, his tenderness and his faith have never faded and will remain forever in my heart. Thank you, Bassiaka, for welcoming me and adopting me into your home. We have done good work together and we are trying to continue. Be at peace.
I also thank my past teammates, Oumar Sadio Traoré, Saîfoulaye Diallo, Siradjo, Moussa, Djibril B., Aliya, Mohamed …
and very present El Hadj Couz Diallo, Alhassane Diallo, Ibrahim Diallo, El Hadj Mamadou Moucktar Diallo, known as Ronaldo, Idrissa Kalokoh, Djulde Sow, Yaya and Seydou, my favorite musicians, Hassan Bah from Doucky, Maman Fatou from Ainguel, Oumar Sadio Traoré from Mali
And my friends, Sylvie P., Thierry Moulinas, Line and Matthieu, Sophie MacGrath, Annick, Nicole Morin and her friends, Tommy Girard, Nadine Bertin and her family and friends, and so many others who will recognize themselves.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being near me.
