About Indigo Voyage
About Cécile Fraioli
With twenty years of experience in tourism in Africa, in prospecting, designing and carrying out tailor-made trips, I chose to settle in Guinea 15 years ago.
Wanting to move to the other side of the dream, the one where we imagine and sell, to the one where we identify, train, build, welcome and make people discover this incredible country, its men, women and children with a sincere welcoming smile.
I am surrounded by a team of driver-guides and guides that I trained in the field and who in turn train new ecotourism professionals during the many scouting trips and accompanying tourists.
Over the years, friendships have been made, projects have been set up and tourists who have become passionate about Guinea have joined me to make solidarity tourism a reality.
Our shared passions for tourism and for Guinea have encouraged us to offer enlightened visitors the opportunity to discover it and share our know-how.
I am part of a solidarity tourism association called Pal’abre. Initially initiated by Line Ginguene and myself, later taken over by Nadine Bertin who formed around her a highly motivated team so that tourism becomes a factor of development rather than a phenomenon of deculturation.

3 What is the best season to go to Guinea?
You can travel to Guinea almost all year round. The best season is the European winter (October to April), the dry season in Guinea and the hottest (average: 30° during the day, 25° in the evening). The last weeks of October, and May or June can be rainy.
The « wintering » or rainy season is very pleasant in the heart of Fouta Djalon for those who do not fear a few showers. The vegetation and waters are in their fullness and observing the work in the fields. Fascinating!
4 WHAT ARE THE HEALTH RISKS IN GUINEA?
As everywhere in Africa, you have to be vigilant… do not drink water that has not been treated with Micropur or similar, prefer bottled mineral water with a cap. All the vegetables and fruits that we offer you are purified with potassium permanganate. It is not recommended to buy prepared food in the stalls along the road.
Rivers and waterfalls do not present a risk of bilharlioze.
Antimalarial treatment and protection against insects are essential.
5 What are the formalities for traveling to Guinea?

6 What are your conditions of sale?
7 What do you call a tailor-made trip?
The trip we recommend to you? Yours! And only yours!
Together we will establish the services that match your tastes, your activities, your personality and your budget
Regular airlines offer a wide choice of flights to Conakry. All travel durations are therefore possible. Airlines often allow you to leave from many provincial cities.
We build your personalized trip, according to your desires.
8 What are the conditions in which we will be accommodated?
Depending on the trip chosen or designed, you can sleep in a hotel, in charming guesthouses, at the locals’ homes, in camps, or on a campsite.
In the latter case, we provide tents, inflatable mattresses, seats, tables and
kitchen equipment.
We advise you to bring a sleeping bag (5-25°), a sleeping bag sheet, a pillow, towels.
In hotels, guesthouses, at the locals’ homes, twin rooms (two separate beds) do not exist, nor do triple rooms. Except in the 4/5 stars of Conakry. It is therefore advisable to provide a single supplement if you are in an odd number.
What will we eat?
Picnics are based on fresh products purchased on site. Vegetables cleaned with potassium permanganate. Canned goods. Laughing Cow. Fruits, depending on the season, bananas, mangoes, pineapples, papayas, watermelon …
You must bring Micropur to purify your drinking water.
Please note, Micropur is not for sale in Guinea.
We advise you to bring food for the hikes (not available in Guinea), dried fruits, cereal bars, etc.
Dinners are prepared by your guide and/or your cook according to the number of participants, varying the menus as much as possible: pasta, vegetable stews, fonio peanut sauce with chicken, couscous, chili con carne, etc.
It is impossible to transport meat, it does not keep, even frozen and transported in a cooler and the health risks are too high to buy it on the road and in markets. Do not be shocked if you see your team buying live chickens to use for a meal, there is no other way.
